Have you looked at three or more goshitels in Noryangjin? If so, your head might be throbbing. Even I would have hesitated, thinking, "What if I sign the wrong contract?" You are in your 20s, the most beautiful time of your life, right? It is perfectly fine to take your time and think it over. "They keep the TV on and mumble to themselves until midnight." These were the words of a student living in a Jongno goshitel. It was the 32nd windowless goshiwon they had visited. Perhaps because they were around my daughter's age, I remember my heart aching particularly hard. . "How wonderful would it be if there was a safe zone where exam prep students and young professionals could rest in peace?" . After spending a year pondering this single question, I have completed a safe zone exclusively for those in their 20s and 30s. Noise? A wreck in the next room? Don't let anything disturb you. You are more than welcome to just roll around and relax under your white blankets :) I will tell you about the three safety measures that protect you in just three minutes. 1. A place that shines even at dawn, yet is miraculously quiet Stay Youth shines brightly even at midnight in the pitch black. This is because the Hyundai Motor dealership on the first floor keeps its lights on at night. Also, since it is a 4-minute bike ride away from the Noryangjin bar street, there are no dangerous drunkards around. Of course, you do have to walk 15 minutes to the Noryangjin academy district. In return, you won't be disturbed by drunkards, karaoke bars, or anything else. If you are looking for a "home that shines even at midnight but is miraculously quiet," you won't regret it :) . . 2. Don't be disturbed by the snoring next door When you walk in, try tapping the wall first. While typical Noryangjin goshiwons make a light, hollow "tap-tap" sound, Stay Youth makes a dull, solid "thud-thud" sound. The walls of Stay Youth are not thin panels. Because they are made of the thick bricks used for jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) walls, you won't be disturbed by the snoring from the next room. . . 3. We politely decline the following individuals Stay Youth does not accept residents indiscriminately. We politely recommend other places for those who fall under the categories below. [Ineligibility Criteria] - Those with an excessively gloomy voice - Day laborers staying for 3 months - Unemployed individuals in their 30s If you feel offended and think this is discrimination, it is perfectly fine to click the back button. I want to make this a space where I can send my own sons and daughters with peace of mind. Stay Youth is a space that is a perfect fit for those who want a safe haven. . . . You might wonder, "Quiet? Then won't it feel suffocating?" By any chance, are you a capital "E" (extrovert) type? Of course, if you like a bustling, lively atmosphere, you might find it a bit stifling. However, for those who recharge through alone time, it is great to head up to the rooftop when you feel cooped up. Holding a warm cup of Americano brewed in the kitchen, as you open the glass door on the 4th floor, soft pop music will drift in. Take a deep breath of the cool night air. If you still feel cooped up, how about taking a 5-minute ride on a Ttareungi bike to the Hangang Bridge? Looking at the wide-open night view of the Han River, your thoughts will naturally clear up before you know it. Even then, do you still feel suffocated? In times like that, I go to The Hyundai, which is just 5 minutes away by subway. Chatting warmly with a friend in the 6th-floor Sky Garden always brings me back fully recharged :) . . . It doesn't have to be Stay Youth. However, wherever you go, I hope you will always ask yourself, "Can my personal space be protected?" Because otherwise, you might end up living with just a single thin wall separating you from someone who mumbles to themselves every night. (This is a real story from a student who moved to Stay Youth.) This might sound a bit out of the blue, but they say we live in a 100-year lifespan era nowadays, right? If life were a 24-hour day, your 20s would only be a mere 3 hours. The most precious and shining period of your life is only 3 hours. So, I sincerely hope you choose a space where you can be protected, with much stricter standards. . . .
