LOCATION-BASED SERVICES TERMS
Homes in Korea Location-Based Services Terms
These Terms govern the location-based services provided by Homes in Korea ("Company") in accordance with Article 18 of the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information (the "Location Information Act") of the Republic of Korea.
⚠️ Draft Notice: This document is a draft and requires legal review before publication. If the service falls within the scope of a location information business or location-based service business, the Company must file the required notification with the Korea Communications Commission before providing the service.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users in connection with the location-based services provided by the Company.
Article 2 (Effect and Amendment)
- These Terms take effect upon the user's consent.
- The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that such amendments do not violate applicable law. Amendments will be announced on the Service at least seven (7) days before their effective date.
Article 3 (Scope of Services)
The Company uses personal location information or device location information of users to provide the following services:
- Map-based accommodation search and display;
- Recommendation of accommodations near the user;
- Region-based personalized recommendations;
- Directions to the accommodation (before and after check-in).
Article 4 (Processing of Personal Location Information)
- The Company does not collect, use, or disclose personal location information without the prior consent of the user.
- Users may withdraw consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of personal location information at any time; certain features of the Service may be limited as a result.
- The Company does not disclose personal location information to third parties. Where entrustment of processing is necessary, the Company will notify users in advance.
Article 5 (Retention of Records of Use and Disclosure)
Pursuant to Article 16(2) of the Location Information Act, the Company automatically records data verifying the use and disclosure of personal location information and retains such records for at least six (6) months.
Article 6 (User Rights)
Users may exercise the following rights at any time:
- Withdraw all or part of consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of personal location information;
- Request temporary suspension of the collection, use, or disclosure of personal location information;
- Request access to, or notification of, records verifying the use and disclosure of personal location information and the personal location information itself;
- Request correction of records verifying the use and disclosure of personal location information and the personal location information itself.

Article 7 (Rights of Legal Guardians)
Consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of personal location information of a child under the age of 14 must be obtained from the legal guardian. If the Company intends to collect, use, or disclose personal location information from a child under the age of 14, the Company will obtain the consent of the legal guardian.

Article 9 (Damages)
If damages are incurred by a user due to a violation of Articles 15 through 26 of the Location Information Act by the Company, the user may claim damages against the Company. The Company shall not be exempt from liability unless it proves the absence of intent or negligence.
Article 10 (Governing Law & Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes shall be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction under Korean law.
